I rescued a duckling from a breeder about almost 3 months ago and she showed signs of having a deformed leg. I took her to a vet and they said there wasn’t much they could do they said the could try to break her leg and let it heal but it would bring down her quality of life because it would be in her way badly. I’m adding a picture to show the problem. A3B85FE7-13D1-496B-8C69-42C86CC0478D.jpeg 24B31B41-F65D-45AF-8381-8BE3BFF2EF84.jpeg

Cute little thing!

I don't know much about Ducks, but if it's a leg deformity and she's been like this for 3 months, there's not likely anything you can do to correct the problem.

@shawluvsbirds and @Isaac 0 may want to chime in since they do know about ducks:)

I have to agree since it's been so long about the only course would be amputation if it's getting in the way of the other leg. and maybe a prothesis I know that is probably spelled wrong. How does she do getting around now?

She hobbles quite a bit and as she gets bigger her good leg has a hard time holding her Because it has become on safe for her to be in a flock she has been living in our home as a pet so she can get the attention she needs A lot of times she was ending up on her back and unable to get up so we made the decision to bring her home. Trying to rehabilitate herThe most she can do with her bad leg is use it for grooming.
