You can use a guaze pad over the wound with a piece of Vet Wrap (or other bandage) around her neck to keep the guaze in place. Don't use any adhesive bandage, that will rip her down feathers out when you pull it off.

Blue Kote [TSC} will help with healing and cover the wound since It has gentian violet in it. which means use a Q-tip or cotton ball to apply and be careful because it stains whatever it touches. But works great for wounds when you have chickens because they are drawn to open wounds.

update: the wound already looks better it’s no longer open and seems to be scabbing over, is that a good sign?

also, she’s eating and drinking great and you can tell just by looking at her that she’s growing normally along with her buddy ollie. they grow so fast it’s crazy!

update: my charlie girl is doing great and it’s almost fully healed ! thank you everyone for all your help it’s very much appreciated i wouldn’t have been able to do it without all the tips !
