Hello everyone

So this is my first hatch and my first egg pipped today, I'm not sure how long it was pipped for when I found it as I had kinda ignored the eggs for most of the day.

Anyways my brother in law was over and chipped a bit of the egg away for some reason even though your supposed to let it hatch naturally as helping can hurt it from what I have read. The below picture is what she looks like right now. She has been like this for about 3 hours and I can see her beak through one of the holes. She is making what sounds like a smacking sound with her beak and every so often she will chirp. She appears to be breathing well. I can still see blood veins running up her back. What can I do to ensure she hatches properly despite my brother in laws early intervention. I appreciate the help

Definitely not ready. Moisten the exposed membrane with a bit of coconut oil, or neosporin WITHOUT pain relief if you don't have coco oil. Apply away from her beak of course. Just sit back and wait. It will take some time for her to hatch.

She is still with us, I have her wrapped in a warm damp towel to help wet her membrane. I can still see one particular vein that appears rather thick so I'm assuming she isnt ready? How long will it take for her to dry out the veins and absorb the yolk?

Ok so she made good progress as far as her veins go as the one vein I have been able to see is significantly smaller than before and looks more pink than red. She is still making noise and moving her bill or beak back and forth but not with a lot force so I figure she is in the resting stage. I'm estimating that it has been at least 12 hours since she pipped. As always, I appreciate any suggestions to help her come out safe!

I can no longer see the vein at all, she is still chirping and moving about. The exposed membrane dries fairly quickly to a white chalky color so I have been wetting it down about once an hour. I think she might not be able to get out do to the early intervention, I'm still upset about it, because I'm afraid she may be shrink wrapped at least where the membrane was exposed. Is this possible? Or am I overreacting? I have no view of her underside so I am unable to tell if the yolk has been absorbed or not.

I decided to move some more of the egg away and found that she was pretty well shringwrapped around her bill. I went ahead and pulled back the dry membrane that I could tell didnt have any vessels in it to try to help her breath since she was having trouble. I know I'm pretty much in this mess due to a beginners mistake but I'm trying my best to safe based off what I have read. The membrane is still very wet and warm but it doesnt appear to have any active blood vessels. I still cannot see he underside or the yolk.

Day 29-30, she is making a chewing motion occasionally but not often and occasionally yawning as well. I read this is a sign that the yolk is still absorbing so I havent attempted to remove her or expose the yolk. I have her back in the incubator now after removing the membrane from her bill. There was no blood or anything but general moisture so I believe she has just about fully absorbed all of her veins.
