Help! Duckling nostril closed up?

Hey BYC! I have been trying to figure out what to do with my duckling! She is a week old and her nostril seems to have closed up! She seems to have trouble breathing through it and her other nostril is small so it must be hard to breathe! She has been like this for a few days but Ive tried giving her warm water baths and I have a deep enough water bowl for her to but her nose in. What should I do?

Can you describe what’s blocking her nostril or maybe post a picture? It might be easier to come up with solutions?

It looks similar to the 'scabs' they get when they get an injury on their bill. You should be able to pick it off (gently) and then see what's happening under there. Likely she bumped it or hurt it and then it scabbed over her nostril.

Looks like it is the same color as the bill so it might be like a scab or something? I would see if you could remove it? Be very carful though, don’t want to damage her nostril.

Hmm. Can you see through her other nostril to the other side where the scab is covering?
