HELP!! "Durvet" water-soluble vitamin/electrolytes mix dosage?

So, how long should the Electrolytes and vitamins be given to new chicks? I have 2 1/2 week old chicks that I have been giving it to since I got them.. should I stop? Vitamins are good right?

I give electrolyte/vet mix every day when there chicks and then for 1week when they get but in the coop at 7weeks then stop and I only use it when there full grown when temp go above 85-90 deg Or if there sick or injured
Only give for about a week then I Wait 2weeks to give again if its still that hot
But don't give if its just normal weather and there 8weeks or older in the coop

Thank you for responding! I truly appreciate all the help this site gives.. New to chicken keeping and want to be sure that I am doing all I can to give them a good start in life.

i too am trying to find the right amount or measurement for the Durvet vitamins & Electrolytes for biddies. what i understood after reading the directions, stock solution is mixing it into a gallon then from that gallon mixing into gallon or larger containers, but i need the right formula. please help. thank you.

so I have an injured hen and am going to give her the vitamins and elctrolyes by Durvet to her and I believe the correct amount to mix in her water is 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water. She won't drink a gallon a day so is it good to sit in the water till she drinks all the water or should I mix less than a gallon. Girl needs something she has a wound and needs to strenghten egg shells and refeather. She is pulled in many many directions. She gets Oyter shells, Grit, Layer Pelletts and Boss and Scratch all mixed together daily. Plus she has access to her own little grass area in her chicken hospital. She pecked a hole in her back and is bandaged up and slathered with neosorin and wrapped with vet wrap and guaze daily. Looks like it is starting to heal but i want to give her the vitamins and could not find any without the electrolytes in them. Seems this is good for heat anyway and it has been hot not today cause we had a storm mid 70's with breeze today.

How many birds to you have and how big is your waterter. I mix the powder in a 1 gal. Jug then but it in the frig. For 3 days for chicks or what I do with my laying flock is use a 1 gal. Chick waterter and I use it just for supplements

ive got one girl in chicken hospital. She uses a 2 liter water bottle with nipple to drink from in this little area. She is by herself because she had a hole in her back. I have been keeping it bandaged and she is presently living separated from her flock. I only have 3 grown hens and 2 baby hens 3 months old. Im keeping the babies seperated until they grow a little more as the others peck at them soon as they get out and they are very afraid and still to small to fend for themselves. I recently found another site with the recomended dosages for the electroylytes. Also a recipe for home made electrolytes to add to their water . Outside I use a plastic tub for them to drink from. Inside their coop they all use various water bottles . I use the large rabbit type water bottles and they all drink from them. Kinda of a pain because they need to be filled daily but it was what I had when I got them and I never bought a big watering system. I just fill the plastic tubs daily on the outside for them to duck their faces in when drinking on hot days. I also have one that I dip their feet into when I can to cool them down on hot days. Going to get a little wading pool for that purpose. Anyway I read to put 1/4 of a teaspoon per gallon of water. I filled a milk jug and just filled her waterbottle from the milk jug and then added the rest to the tub of water for the girls outside. BTW her wound is almost scabbed over. I have had to bath her 3 times to get the dirt off of her and change her bandage. Yesterday she got cooled off and had a fresh bandage and he was almost scabbed over. One little spot where bandage stuck needs to scab over. I figure a few more days and it will be scabbed over but I plan on keeping it covered until it is completely healed or almost ready for scab to fall off. I have been slathering with neosorin and spraying with Invectin and hopefully whatever caused this won't happen again to any others. Still not sure what caused her injury and I wanted the vitamins to help her heal faster . She has laid me eggs for the past 3 days and she didn't lay regularly or hard shelled eggs for the past 2 or 3 months. She was lacking a lot of something. Ive been giving boss oyster shells, scratch and laying pelletts mixed together daily to all hens the egg quality has been good.
My hens are all molting right now except the 2 babies. I plan on giving them all electrolytes this summer any possibly the vitamin supplements if not at least the home made electrolytes. The recipe i on Fresh Eggs Daily blot site if anybody is interested in the electrolyte recipe.
