You could also get / or build "roll away" nest boxes. They are built with an angled nest floor so the eggs roll away from the hen and she can't see them

Hmmm. I just wouldn't want them to fall or anything because silkies can't fly, but I will look into it and see of it's a possibility. Thank you!
