Help! Eggs are often yucky with poo!

Mine are always clean, unless the roost in front of the nesting box has poop on it or someone has slept in the nesting box that everyone wants to use, even though there are 4 they all fight over one.

Arielle, Wasn't trying to be smug.....just thought your post of "every egg being perfectly clean" was reaching for the stars in my opinion.
Yes, by keeping healthy girls, watch their diet, keep them from sleeping in nest boxes or roosting on edge, etc....will definitely make for cleaner eggs. Chickens are lovely, fun, crazy little creatures and they are nasty. They poop everywhere, you will end up with alittle poop on an egg from time to time. big deal....wash it. david, your eggs right out the chicken look great....althought i do see alittle stain on the top, middle one. Hey, just kidding......that's what makes this site so wonderful....so many with suggestions to help. Why I keep coming back and how a city boy from NOLA has so many healthy girls and great tasting eggs right now. Good luck to all.
