Not very good. She moves a little especially after touching her. She also moves when you play the sound of chicks peeping.but it mostly looks like she's asleep/dead. She also has her eyes closed. She opened them when we took her out and this morning but has them closed most of the time.

Is she still in the egg? If she is! You can just dab a little water on the membrane to keep from shrink wrapping her in the egg! don't get any around her nostrils.

Her bottom half is. Its just her neck and head that stick out of the egg. I think she's dying because she is drying up. Will her egg yolk still absorb if the egg is broken?

Yes it should! O.k I don't want to tell you wrong! Her goes! If the membrane is dry then she is probably shrink wrapped in the shell from lack of moisture.The membrane that is right next to the chick see if it is stuck to her.Use your finger and see if its dried to the fuzz.

Wet the membrane and gently try to remove the dried part without causing the chick to bleed.Can rip skin and cause to bleed
so gentle.

Why? Its not ready to hatch. The yolk is still out. Will it not hurt her /damage her?
