Hi everyone I have two, 2 week old chicks ones a polish bantam ( which doesn’t make hardly any sound) and the others a pekin bantam and makes sooo much chirping constantly and doesn’t stop and it gets so loud . There unsexed we don’t know the genders yet. What could be the cause of it being so loud? They have there heat, food and water

When my chick was young, she made loud, annoying sounds just for the pleasure of it, and she hasn't outgrown it. Still today we hear her going AKAKAKAKAKKAKAKKAKAKAKAK out in the run it's so lould.

Chicks chirp extra loud and persistently when they are in distress. Is it too hot / cold in your brooder? Do they have a cool zone to get away from the heat?

Haha bless! Hopefully mines just like that one then and will be ok, it’s definitely acting very happy and active but also very loud

I have one like that right now... It’s with a very caring mama hen and siblings, so not like it has unmet needs or anything specific to cry about. It screams even when under the hen! I can hear it from across the yard. It’s growing and otherwise acting normal, aside from being a whiny complainer all the time, so I just ignore it. Some are just like that. If its needs are met and you’ve done all you can, just let it be and get used to it, I guess...

Early in the morning my loudbird is out, screaming at the sun telling it it came a millisecond late. In the afternoon she complains about the grass's particular shade, and in the night she complains about how the hen at the bottom of the pecking order got her favorite roosting bar
