Help finding California rabbits.

We live just outside of Danville IL, and are wanting to start raising rabbits for meat, because you can't live off JUST chicken your whole life, well you can, but rabbit is good too, haha! We already built a hutch, and are about to start building the second one, but we have one small issue... <_< We can't find any California rabbits which are the breed we are wanting. We've called local pet stores asking of they could order them in, but they want $30-$40 just to order, then another $20 for the rabbit itself! O.O There's also a woman that our neighbor got his rabbits from just 2 weeks ago, so we asked for 3 Cali's, and I'm starting to feel like she's not going to come through for us. Each time we hear anything one day it's, yes, they're on their way, the next day it's, well I'm not sure yet when they will be ready, then we were told they'd be here this weekend, and when they weren't we were told she had "other" things more important to take care of first. So I figured I would ask on here, does anyone know where I would be able to find 1 buck, and 1 doe California rabbits, would prefer them to be unrelated.
