So my roo broke his toe January 28th. Ive been wrapping it, splinting it, cleaning it and putting on Neosporin (no pain relief). It’s been in a wrap/dressing. This is what it looked like.. but now

There is a large growth on his toe where the break is. I’m not sure if it’s infected or just growing back weird. I’m a first time chicken owner and I’ve never dealt with this before. I don’t have a vet near me but I really wanna make sure my boy is ok. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is it warm to the touch, warmer than his other foot? Any leakage of any sort? Hard or squishy? Is the toe below the wound still warm?

Honestly look like it’s just scar tissue to me. If everything checks out (in the above) I think it would be okay to leave it alone now, maybe put some blu kote on it and just keep him where it’s dry and clean for another week or so.

Hi there, I just unwrapped his wound and it’s turned green. It seems the same temp as his other toes but i can’t really put him anywhere at the moment minus his coop/run. Although it’s pretty wet due to the storms :/
