I have 6 Campbell ducks and they are out grown their tub, at 7 weeks old. they have been outside during the day for about 2 weeks this morning i had 2 ducks escape from their tub running around the house with our shelties and i don't know when they can stay outside forever they are fully feathers ex for their flight wings at the end. so im asking which temp should i have them in for? i live in new england.

They can stay outside as soon as they are born with the proper heating lamp and shelter. If your not offering the heating lamp I would wait for all their feathers to come in before leaving them out. Just my two cents.

At seven weeks, they should be able to take (90 minus 7 times 5, is 90 minus 35, is 55F) about 55 to 60F at night - we are close to that in my part of New England.

Big concern I always have - predator protection. What shelter do you have for them.?

If you don't mind me asking where I can find the formula you used. Looks like it could be handy.

From Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks, 90F the first week, dropping about 5 degrees a week till the brooder matches the temperature of their surroundings.
