My male suddenly is showing I'll. Lying down in coop- usually free ranges. When I caught him to check- fluid poured out of his beak. I mean cups of fluid. slightly murky with some sandy sediment- lloks like crop fluid. At vet now. Looks like diarrea also. Very listless. Vet is checking gram stains. Help

Blue at the Vet.
She has given him an antibiotic injection, drenched him with an activated charcoal and sub Q fluids. He'll stay over night- but if any one has a guess what this is, let me know.

Sometime when they are really sick their crops don't empty, so they will vomit when picked up. What antibiotic did they give? What does his poop look like?

Sorry, I'm home now- don't know what the injectable antibiotic was- and he has lost some weight- he

was 10# in March, and now he is down- can't remember what she said- heis crop seemed empty, after all the fluid came out. She ran some tests on the fluid and poop- a little blood, some bacteria nothing crazy from the little she had to test. Poop was a pale green smear. Blue is staying over night at vet.

I can get the weight and antibiotic name first thing in morning. Seemed to come on fast. Sunday took pictures of him, and no droopy wings, he was eating meal worms and socializing with every one. First I noticed something wrong was last night about 6 pm he was laying on the ground in the hen house- never ever saw that before. The other birds were not even in for the night yet- he was all by himself

Glad you were able to get him to the vet!
