Help! Fly problem!

I have a lot of chickens and about 10 of them free range in my back yard. I have a lot of flies up by house not near the coop. They are not a problem by the coop. They are driving me nuts! I have tried fly traps that gets a lot of them, but there are still tons. I have tried DE on the lawn and hydrated lime. What else can I do? I'm miserbale!

I have posted on this subject in the past. You can probably find the posting if you search. Here is the shortened version. You are already using fly traps. INCREASE THE NUMBER ..... Also see if you can eliminate the things that attract flies .. Maybe try deep litter. ???

2Tbsp vanilla to gallon of water in a sprayer. Spray chickens, run and inside coop lightly. If heavy infestation do every 4 hours for a few days to a week. They hate it and will eventually move on.
