Gotta say, I had a similiar thing happen with a RIR. She flew into the fly stip and it got all wrapped around her back side. Poor Baby. I had to pull it off, but the sticky wax left on her feathers worried me. I figured she would begin preening and get that sticky mess inside her crop and insides. So I took a sharp pair of scissors and cut off the feather that had been covered in the stickiness. It seemed like a lot, and I did not go to close to her skin for worry of making her bleed. She went on about her business like it had never happened. I have seen no ill repercussions. I did take down all of the other fly tapes, and just now read a thread about using vanilla smelling christmas tree car fresheners as an incredible fly deterrant I can't wait to try it. Cheers
