HELP! Foot injury in week old chick - She passed this am :(

Hey guys- the last couple days my bantam cochin baby has been kind of off on her own and sleeping more the last day or two....

Today I inspected her when I got home and noticed her toe is injured! I'm not sure what it is it almost looks like some of the scaly exterior skin got scraped back??? Maybe she had/has an abscess???

I've attached some pictures any advice on what I should do please?!

Looks like an abscess to me I would soak her foot in warm Epsom salt water

Should I use any ointment? Also, how long should I soak it?

She passed away this morning She was my favorite from the day I brought them home. Super sad morning......

I assumed she had been kinda lethargic the past couple days because of the foot - she was still eating/drinking.....
