Im not sure how it happened because im a slightly obsessive germaphobe chicken mom and i clean the coop daily but today i found chicken lice on several of my girls.

I noticed my salmon faverolle's mustache was missing some feathers which prompted me to further examine her and i found a few straw colored bugs on her which i then realized were lice. 😳😳Then i found them on a few other of my hens as well. I am legit freaking out. 3 years with chickens and ive never had this issue. I ordered the Elector PSP from velley vet about 30 secinds afyer i found them Lol

Heres my question: spray them or dip them in a bucket? I see different answers online. Also, what about chicks? I have grow outs and chicks in the same coop as my hens (its a 12' x 16' wooden storage building turned into a walk in coop), i assume i need to treat them too? Same dosage? Somebody more experienced please tell me what to do, my brain is mush right now and everything is itchy Lol

This link has info, scroll down and there is a link to a video showing treatment, has dosing info in it (9ml per gallon of water). The link to the video is near the bottom, below the picture of Elector PSP and the list of treatment products.

It will be fine, the lice will stay on the chickens. You will need to clean out and spray the coop also.
