I am new to the chicken raising world. My city has an ordinance for 10 laying hens per household here in Colorado Springs, CO but I am not sure about my HOA covenants. Which rules? I have a copy of my HOA's rules about animals and also have a copy of my HOA meeting notes where a dog owner contested the HOA by laws and the ruling was that the city ordinances ursurp Hoa rules.
But I just want to make sure that I can legally have chicks if I want to. I contacted a lawyer today but hate to spend big bucks. Any advice for chicken owners in my city?
