We are really frustrated with our run and fencing areas. We used green lumber for the 4x4 posts and the 2x4s to attach the fencing on. Almost all of the lumber has twisted and turned in the dry Colorado sun. We can't finish some of the fencing because the wood has warped so badly.

What do you all use for wood in dry climates? What doesn't warp and doesn't cost an arm and leg?

Well your first prob. is that you used "green" wood. Unless you have fully dried and treated wood it is going to warp.

Next time stack your green wood flat so it can air dry before you use it.

Cedar is one of the best woods to use for outdoor projects like fence posts etc. You can usually get away without having to treat it.

Cheers and good luck.
