Help Goat Owners! Can a goat vomit?

Hi everybody...Yoda is feeling much better, thank you all for your concern. I determined he had eaten some azaela leaves which I learned was toxic to him. He must not have ate a whole lot because he was pretty much better the next day! Still dealing with his dog attack wounds but overall doing great!

However, since the goat was attacked by "crazed" dogs you might want to ask your vet if there are any precautions to take or signs to look for or if it's even a concern.

We are working on finding him a new buddy! We're waffling on rather or not to get another pygmy, or something larger.

As far as the rabies deal...luckily Yoda had his rabies vaccine, so we should be OK there. Thank goodness, lol!

Even large goats can be attacked by dogs. They are prey animals and their natural instincts are to run. I would lock them inside at night and get some very hot wire on your fence or get a livestock guardian. A dog, donkey or llama will work. I prefer dogs but they all have their ups and downs.

I am glad Yoda is okay. He is a cutie and he really needs a buddy. Has he been wethered? You will want to get him done soon if he hasn’t been.
