Hi there, I’m newish to hatching and this is my first time hatching Geese. They went into lockdown on day 26 and one of the geese eggs pipped an hour later.
From what I’ve read geese generally hatch between day 28 and 30 so this could be quite early? We left him to it though and 34hours on he’s still only just pipping. The hole is a bit bigger and he’s moving about and beeping, trying his best, but I’m worrying that something is wrong. I’ve read in so many places that you shouldn’t intervene unless completely necessary but what would constitute as necessary? Should I intervene or give him more time?
