Help! Gosling stopped moving and peeping!

I had to make an external pip hole for my gosling yesterday, and all day he's been doing well peeping and moving, but now he suddenly stopped! He hasn't even started zipping... What should I do? Humidity is 80% and temperature is just under 100. It's been like 32 hours hours since the external pip))):

Thank you. ButI can still see blood vessels everywhere, so I can't help it. I'm sure it's dead anyway, I can't hear breathing and it's not moving. It's weird because it was peeping up a storm and moving around ALOT then jut stopped altogether. It didn't get weaker or anything, it just stopped/:

Hi. Im sorry to hear this news as if you cant if the regular cicking sound of the gosling breathing then it does sound as though its died. You could open the hole at the top a little more to check if the beak is actually through the membrane.

Always hard to lose them when so near and a big disappointment, However, dont give up with future eggs as you've learnt so much and very close to sucess. Just re-check your incubation settings and adjust if necessary.

Often upsetting to see them so close but well worth examining to learn more - had the beak penetrated the air cell, was the yolk sac absorbed etc.

Again very sorry you didnt get a good outcome.

Thank you for all your help. It is very sad, but i did do some investigating and everything looked good. His beak was in the airspace and the membrane wasn't like sticking to him. It was even coming off a little at the top. And his yolk sac was almost completely absorbed. But I did notice that There were a lot of veins that were possibly bloody towards the back of the shell.

Sorry to hear that and may have caught the blood vessels with a toe nail. Most unlucky and you were almost there. Hope you've got more eggs that you're going to try with.
