I have a mama goose that hatched 2 babies they are now 2 weeks old when I went to the barn I found one of the little ones laying on his side kicking his legs like he was desperately trying to stand up so I picked him up and sat him back down again and he just fell over to his side again, So I brought him to the house and made him a bed, He eats and drinks very well but he needs to be held up when he eats bc he falls over to one side, I took him to the Vet and the Vet had no idea what was wrong with him he gave him a steroid shot and said sometimes nature does this to let it run its course..( um ok and your a Vet!) So I started doing research online and found that Geese needs a Vitamin called Niacin so I went and got some and measured out what I thought he would need 1/8 teaspoon or 1 teaspoon for every gallon of water.Its been 4 days and still the same thing, He will eat really good and drink lots of water but he still cant stand in his on..Any help would be very appreciated.
