Layer for one and I understand some say no medicated chick feed, I've always fed an all flock I can't get duck feed here. You might want to buy some Nutritional yeast of Brewers yeast and sprinkle about 1 tab to 1-2 cups of feed since chick feed doesn't have the amount of niacin water fowl babies need to have strong legs and they can also have neurological problems if they get niacin deficient.Not baking yeast though.
Poly-vi-sol with out iron is good to keep on hand if you can't get the brewers yeast. It's in the infant vitamins.
if you give them anything besides the chick feed they will need grit. Also any grass ect you give make sure to shop it small.
Awesome do you plan on giving the little ones to them at some point? I gave my adults their little ones when they were 3 weeks old but they had met them alot before then. Remember to offer chick grit if they eat anything besides their starter.
you take the babies out in nice weather and have the parents on one side of the fence the gosling on the other and let them meet, but I'd be real surprised if they would injure the littles geese love babies. But you have to supervise at all times, I'd take mine out and sit with them the adults geese would come around very curious at first then they would start following us me first gosling behind me adults bringing up the rear. One reason i waited till the gosling were 3 weeks old was I was worried more about them getting stepped on than intentionally injured. I tend to be over protective. But by 3 weeks they were sturdy enough and large enough to go out with them permanent. It's such an experience watching the parents with their babies.
