Someone please help me my hen just laid a yolk is it to worry about there was no shell that I could see but I did not want to move her

you need to give her oystershell grit in her diet. this is cheap and can be bought from most feed shops

she does have grit I didn't check to see if there was a egg I will check tomorrow is it serious

I don't want to alarm you, but, recently one of my hens did the same thing.
Turned out that the shell was broken inside her and she died within two days from infection.
She actually plopped out the egg while walking in front of me and it was pretty much intact but without the shell.
Hopefully your hen is just having a glitch in the egg development. Extra calcium may help.
Grind up eggshells and mix with something like rice or oatmeal so that the hens actually eat the shells and not just scatter them.
I find that my hens won't touch oyster shell.
