HELP! Hen Attacked By My Rooster!!!!

Hi everyone. I am mad at my rooster and needless to say he is leaving sometime within the next few days!

I got home today only to find my broody hen (who had been sitting for, it will be a week tomorrow) she was in the corner of the coop with no head feathers and bleeding. He did something to this yesterday but I was out there so it didnt escalate!

I dont know what got into him! Poor girl is so dedicated she is back on her nest sleeping like a rock. Im still worried about her. She stood in shock for about 20 minutes. I dont know whether her walking around with her feathers puffed up was a threat to him or what but its not going to be tolerated at my chicken house!

She has a little bruise on her head and no feathers on her head. Its terrible but I think she is ok now.

Anything I should watch for you? She did drink and eat prefusely before she got back on her nest.

If her head is red, then she might get picked on now by other hens. Can you isolate her for a few days?

Time to get a new Roo..
I hope you have him isolated, so he can't have a go at her again or any of the other hens.

I love him, but the minute he abuses a hen or attacks a human.... He's Supper.....

He is locked outside waiting to go to his new home. She is in the nest because she is such a dedicated mom and this didnt bother her apparently. She is sitting tight on her eggs. I may have to block her off from the other hens but I cant move her. She wont have it. Already tried. But no he cant get to the hens.

I was afraid the other may pick on her. How long until her feathers grow back in?
