I wouldn't worry about it. She is likely getting ready to lay and is just checking the boxes out. Sometimes I think the hens just go in there to chill out and get away from the rest of the flock.

Madder than a wet hen. Also, be warned. Chickens don't like getting wet.
Thank you! She just seems off to me, It could also be the heat but she just seems like she is only getting up for water. She also has some white stuff on the soft vent feathersI wouldn't worry about it. She is likely getting ready to lay and is just checking the boxes out. Thank you! I will let you know what’s going on tomorrowIf she starts pecking her stomach, it's broodiness.
Otherwise it is probably just chill.
I would still clean her up, just so you can see if anything changes.
The white stuff could be urate. When it is really hot out, chickens can have more watery/liquidy poo because they are drinking more water. It is usually fine. Like others said, you can give her butt a little bath if it gets really dirty but remember chickens are animals and they won't always stay clean. If she starts acting lethargic or sick then you can start to worry.Thank you! She just seems off to me, It could also be the heat but she just seems like she is only getting up for water. Some new layers take time to lay, they may go in and out of nest multiple times before laying.but all day today my RIR/ NH has been in the nesting Boxes, she is eating and drinking but I am worried! It’s like she is trying to lay put can’t, she is walking normally and flying normally up to the bars so should I be worried and what do I do?
