Help. Hen killing chicks as soon as they hatch.

I have saved 2 chicks, and have lost 4 to the mother hen killing then tossing them out of the box.

Other than sit and wait for more to hactch, is there anything else I can do. I have no bator.

Homicidal (infanticidal?) hens happen - so sorry that you are having to deal with one. Unfortunately, given your situation with no incubation alternative available, sitting and waiting is about the only option to give you hope of recovering live chicks. Is this her first go at brooding?

Yes, this is her first go at sitting. We'll just keep checking on them every 30mins or so. Thanks
