We came home from a weekend away to find one of our chickens with her head tilted to the side, tucked under her body, and her butt in the air. She won't leave this position and barely moves, mostly scuttling around backward. She is a young Orpington. I've separated her from the other birds, given her some scrambled egg and a vitamin/electrolyte mix in her water. She also seems to maybe have a lump at the bottom of her neck, but I can't really tell if it is normal or not (I'm a novice chicken keeper and this is my first chicken illness). I gave her some avocado oil, just in case she has an impacted crop. She hasn't eaten much in the past 24 hours and has only drank a little. I've tried to get some water down her with an eye dropper with mixed success. I really don't want to lose her! I raised her from just a chick and she is only 9 months old. Help!
