There is also a thing called legal eviction. Your eviction is not legal. Find an attorney and stay put. They cannot throw you out without giving you notice. I once bought a house where the renters refused to move. It was weeks before I got them out.

Depending on your state you may have options I would definitely check in NC they have to allow at least 14 days and you can request more time through court, those are crappy neighbors to not give you your notices (js) is your mil still living there? Definitely consult a lawyer other option is squatting until you find a place that’s the last thing I would do unless it’s you absolutely last resort. This happened to me a few years ago by my previous landlord never had complaints always paid my rent he showed up said he sold it I had 30 days, I had chickens, dogs, and horses! Had to get rid of everything (gave) and me and my dogs lived in my vehicle from November through March it was awful then I found out he actually never sold it rerented it for more money! I would have gladly paid more had he asked
