Help!! How do I catch my chickens without going nuts!?!?

Do they have constant access to their feed? I don't give any to ours for a couple hours before rounding them up. They aren't ranged, just yarded. But when they here me filling the feed, they come running. They jump all over me while I'm putting it in the tractor & trip over each other to get in.

Of course, maybe that is because they are pets, too.

That's exactly what my DH calls the ritual we go through each evening before dark. We have 26 six week old chicks that go out in the movable chicken tractor each morning (I have to catch them and take them to the tractor each AM, too). At dusk, we reverse the process. At least I'm getting a couple of aerobics workouts each day! LOL. This is only temporary, because when they are older, we'll have thinned the flock and they will then stay in a coop with a run during gardening season and free range in the day time other times of the year. We don't feel the tractor is safe at night because we have a lot of predators here.
