HELP...how do i get a hen broody with a whole flock

i want to hatch eggs too but idk how to tell if eggs r fertilized we havent got a egg with blood in it yet and do i just take like 6 eggs and a hen and put them in another coop so she gets broody or wat please help

well usually you will just have to wait and see what she does if she sits or not but i let mine just stay in the coop and sit. also you have this posted 4 times ide request some be removed

Boodiness is beyound your control... a hen goes brooody when she wants and you can't really do anything to get her to start. It is a natural thing they to to reproduce and we cannot convience them to do it. In fact putting her in a small cage will generally stop broodiness.

Some breeds are more likely to go broody than others. What breed do you have?

You have to just wait and see if one goes brood on its own

People are going to get to thinking that I have wooden eggs on the brain, but ......don't leave your real eggs in the nesting boxes. You are just inviting snakes and egg eating from your flock. Keep gulf balls or wooden eggs and that will get the girls laying where you want and if you get a broody......and you will diffinetely know when it happens, she will take the wooden eggs and sit hard on them. Then you can mark the eggs you want to give her. I will just assume you know to check her everyday for fresh eggs that need to be removed.
I don't expect my birds to go broody on me now, however. It wouldn't seem like a good time of year. Its too wet and it will be getting cold. If I would want chicks, I think I would want them ASAP.....like now and maybe only broilers that I could raise and kill.
I am hoping my girls start going broody in late Feb or March and throughout the summer.......and please not all at once, like they like to do sometimes. It looks like it is contagious. One starts and before you know it another and then most of them. By the time most of my birds are setting, I have no eggs to eat, because I am giving them all to the hens.

If you want a hen to go broody leave the eggs in the nest and one of them is bound to do the deed eventually. Check fertility by cracking an egg open and looking for a white bullseye on the yolk

mine went broody 3 times this month only by leaving some pingpong ball inside the nest. the balls is only to let them know where to lay but she *misinformed*. even with 1 ball she went broody.

so i would suggest to leave some ping pong balls/ whatever ball except basketball/football/any big ball inside nestbox. that will make them they've enough eggs to lay on.
