HELP! How do I get blu-kote off my hand. I look like a blueberry!

You might end up smelling like a salad, but apple cider vinegar took it right off my hens. Not that I was trying to get it off, but the blue-kote wasn't stopping the feather pecking, so tried ACV. That didn't stop it either, but she sure smelled interesting for a day or so

and the blue-kote came right off with it.

Is there a number or email on the bottle? you could contact the manufacturer and ask.

Bleach works. But there might be something less harsh!

Good Luck and God Bless!

The belt sander is tempting....

I didn't use bleach specifically, but the OxyClean worked the best. Turned a funky greenish-yellow, but nonetheless it got a bit off. The pumice stone helped some too...(of course, anything that rips skin off will happen to remove the purple with it.

).

As for the ACV...any other time I'd try it, but currently I am not sure which is worse...being slightly purple and greenish yellow (at this point) or smelling like ACV.

If it didn't work for me...I'd be funky colored AND smell like ACV!!

I have figured this out after trying everything. Use "Dawn Power Dissolver". It isn't the dishwashing liquid. It comes in a blue spray bottle. It is a little bit thick. Spray it on your hands, or wherever you have Blu Kote on you, and let it soak there for about 30 to 45 seconds. Wet a small scrub brush or scouring pad and start scrubbing. I had so much of that Blu Kote on my hands they looked as if I had dipped them in it. This Power Dissolver got all of it off in minutes except for a little on my cuticles. Thank goodness! I have a big job interview this week!

Use Palmolive dish soap that has a grease fighter in it and just scrub it a few times..then use hand sanitizer! Seriously it works so well rather than putting gas on your hands! My horse dumped blu kote all over me and this was the only thing to get it off!
