HELP! How do I get ride of fall chewing lice???

Our chickens got some chewing lice and we can't get rid of them. We want to get rid of them as soon as possible but nothing seems to work. We have tried the diatomaceoues earth for 2 weeks but it just slowed the reproduction down. What is cheep and would kill all of the bugs fast and keep them away.We love our chickens but can't live with the bugs and if we can't get rid of them we might have to get rid of the chickens. PLEASE help us! Our chickens are just like pets and we would be absolutely sad to have to get rid of them. No chickens could ever replace them. Please help us !!!!!!

Ivermectin works great, you can find it at your feed store or Walmart. Try that and you should be good to go.

I recommend dusting your birds with sevin dust. Ivermectin wont kill lice, lice dont suck blood. They feed off feathers and skin.

X3, Sevin dust should work. I use it on my birds every once in a while, and they are fine.
