Help! How do I treat tapeworms.

Does anyone know what the difference between the Valbazen and Wazine is?

Wazine is piperazine which only treats large roundworms in poultry. It's no longer being sold.
Valbazen is albendazole, a benzimidazole which treats all types of poultry worms, a broad spectrum wormer.
I've used Valbazen for a long time in my birds along with other wormers.

I've dealt with tapeworms many times and I can tell you this:
Valbazen has been losing its effectiveness in treating tapeworms in poultry. Otherwise it's an excellent wormer treating large roundworms, cecal worms, capillary worms, eyeworms, gizzard worms and any other roundworms there are that might infect poultry.

That said, I highly recommend treating tapeworms in poultry using Equimax equine paste which can be found in the equine section at a feed store.

Ok, I will have to give it a try. How do you give it them?

I would use the wormer that Dawg53 recommended—Equimax, and it costs 1/4 of the Valbazen. Dosage is listed her in post 2:

Can you post any pictures of the tapes in droppings that you are seeing? Here is a good video that shows tapeworm segments slowly moving in a dropping:
I can maybe this evening. Cause I’m not seeing them in any of their droppings from last night or yet this morning. They do free range and I was just walking by the pile both times I found them that time. They definitely look like tapeworm segments. I already placed the order for the Valbazen. I wish I could cancel. I didn’t like the price. But I thought for what I read was my best option.
I find it odd how I’m not seeing it in the droppings where they free range or in the coop. I put them up at night.

Are you sure you aren't seeing maggots?

I don’t know. They move kinda weird. The first time I saw them it wasn’t much in there. But yesterday it was full of them. But only in one pile. I couldn’t find evidence of anymore.

I'm going to guess you might be seeing maggots.
A picture would be great.

Ok, I’ll keep a eye out on them through out the day and I’ll get a picture. I shoveled the last pile up and threw it on our burn pile. So I can’t return to the seen of that one lol.
