HELP...humidity questions and lockdown...confused - CHICKS

I just know I'll jinx my current hatch if I haven't screwed it up already,.... but ... I seem to have all sorts of temp and humidity issues with my LG but seem to get good hatches. I disturb the eggs and open the bator during lockdown to add water or candle for one reason or another.
I think today is my day 22 and not one pip yet. I'm pretty sure temps have not been low. I candled some and see life....

Peeper Im in the same boat.. today is day 21 for me and nothing yet..

I kept the temps/humidity perfect too.. I candeled and I did see 1 or 2 quitters.

I don't see much on the forum about folks having GOOD hatches while breaking all the rules... but I'm convinced that it happens. T hese folks probably just laugh at us worry worts...

Second one out!

One more looks like there is a little crack where he might be trying to pip...fourth nothing is happening with yet. I didn't break any real rules, but the main issues I had was a very consistent low temperature...never above 100...always 99.3-99.7. They were technically not due until tomorrow, which I thought was strange with the low temperatures. The second issue is that I could not get humidity to get up there at lockdown...it hasn't seemed to have an effect. Now the other thing is I will have to check my hygrometer when these chicks are out to make sure it was not just way off. It seemed right on the money until I went to raise it about the same time the heat on the house went on....then I coudlnt' get it much above 50%.

I'll post pic's as soon as the little fluff n stuff's dry out.

Yay! One egg left, but nothing happening so far...will wait and see. At least I can put these little ones in the brooder tomorrow AM.

I sang happy birthday this morning to 6 of my 14! Now just who would not want Christmas Peeps ??? nomatter how busy we are they still make us smile!

Good news...#4 was out this morning! I went to bed lastnight at 3AM after discovering a little tiny pip...woke up hoping for a new baby and got one!

I used to stay up all night but a "watched pot...."

The peeping used to keep me awake (yes, my bator is in the bedroom) and now I enjoy the li'l peeps singing me to sleep as long as I don't hear a distress call. I cheep to them from bed and they cheep back

Good thing my little yorkie is deaf or she would be going nuts on that incubator. My DH is in the hospital also

or he would be doubly annoyed at me hatching more chicks

and the noise too!
