Help I’m not sure what’s happening.

*Help*.
My hens and rooster have suddenly developed a cough/ sneezing weird thing. The hens seem active but the rooster seems less so with watery poop that’s white.
They are still eating and drinking and I did see him trying to breed one of the girls today. But somthing is off with him.
What could it be and how would I treat them?And vets, prescription and then the medicine add up to way too much.
Any help/ advice is appreciated.

I am based in the UK so getting medication is difficult unfortunately as not much is readily available.

Is he lethargic or sleepy, or not eating? Does he have any bubbles or foam from his eye, swelling of an eyelid, or nasal drainage? When

Hi thanks for replying.
They cough a few times within an hour or so maybe 4/5 times. I’ve noticed it occurs when eating,drinking or just at random times. For the rooster after crowing as well. Regarding coop ventilation I have 3 ventilation points adjustable and it’s well ventilated. I put DE down under the bedding every two weeks which I was advised to do? Could this be making it dusty? I’d say he’s lethargic somewhat. He eats and drinks but is balled up abit and doesn’t crow half as much as he use to. The rooster is 18 months and the hens range from youngest at 9 months to oldest at 11 months. I have had the chickens for about a year now and I got them at similar times but from different breeders. I have not added any new chickens to the flock. I’ve added a picture of a hen (RIR) and said rooster copper maran.

DE can be irritating to the eyes and respiratory system. There is also a bit of pollen starting to appear now that it is approaching spring. I would just keep an eye on the rooster, and make sure that he is getting enough to eat and drink.

Ahh I didn’t know! I was just advised to put it down when changing bedding to help with mites and stuff. But I have been reading about DE since you mentioned and the responses are mixed! Haha some say avoid some say it’s great. I will try somthing else and see if that helps. He eats and drinks fine he’s just balled up often. Hope everything works out will keep my eye on him.
