Yeah I was really hoping to get a few years of taking care of laying hens under my belt before attempting to raise my own meat birds and take the next step toward self sufficiency. At some point I'd like to be able to take more responsibility for the meat I eat, I was just not thinking it would be this year with any of these baby birds.That's understandable. I just mentioned it because I know a lot of people don't want to do it. I know I couldn't. I've yet to kill a bird/livestock. I personally just don't have to heart for it. I hope everything works out for you. Sorry the store/vendor even put you through this in the first place.
I hope she can live a happy healthy life with me, however shortened by her unfortunate breeding.
