Help...I am having bad luck with incubating eggs

I went out and bought a thermometer that also measures the humidity. The thermometer that came with the incubater was way off(it read 103). The new thermometer said it was actually only 92 degrees and the humidity was 15%.

Sounds like humidity. The other thing to remember when using other peoples eggs is you should disinfect before and after shipped egg incubation. Your hatch rates will get better with practice, but IMHO if chicks develope and then don't pip or hatch its USUALLY Humidity. Keep trying it is an art.

To be completly accurate on temperature, I use a cheap digital thermometer used for humans. You can get them really cheap at walmart, walgreens and other pharmacy type places and they are medical grade, so are more accurate than the ones you buy in the hardware departments. I hope this helps! Good luck!
