Help! I bought silkies and lavender orps...

Hatching eggs. The silkies have hatched...orp have not... day 22... are they going to hatch. If the hen is still sitting on them...is that a good sign...

Try to candle the eggs to see if anything Is in them

Was inside the eggs yellow, clear, large black spot or veins. If it is clear or yellow nothing Is in it. If it has veins or a big black spot a chick is probably in there.

I can see the air sac and the rest is really dark. The chick is developed. I fear that at some point, it stopped developing and died.

If it is not moving all in the egg maybe throw I was then

Maybe do an eggtopsy on one egg to see if it is dead or alive. By day 22 ay least one of the lavender orps should have hatched. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get these eggs? Could it be possible that you've been sold faulty eggs?

I opened both.. one had died probably around 14 days.. the other one failed to pip...and died.

Good that no live chicks were in the eggs
