Help I Cant Catch The Fox!

Are your animals free range?I would start by locking them up.An "educated"fox is almost impossible to catch.Your best bet would be to hunt it over bait or one of it's kills.You could use a live duck or chicken or duck in a cage and put some footholds around it,but the cage,traps and all have to be absolutely human scent free.
 
I've got the same issue - what to use for bait.

My wife chased off the fox yesterday with a chicken in its mouth - she got the chicken back but the fox didn't want to leave. It went after several others before she was finally able to chase it off.

Chickens are locked up now - I'd HATE to use one of my hens as bait. ...

Maybe someone has free chickens on craigslist?


I have a huge trap set, baited with hamburger & eggs - but so far no luck (only been set 12 hrs though).
