Is that the fox or just a sample photo? If its your fox, its pretty lean looking and badly coated.
I would use a chicken leg or two from the store, no sense using your hens! People often give away roosters on Craig's List.
It takes a very brave fox to even come onto the same property as my dogs, bonafide predator control dogs. One of my Tibetan Mastiff girls caught a fox, chomped it once over the back, by the shoulders, and it was a goner. Another time, she took out a 6 month old coyote who was stalking my goats.
Only a few of my dogs are trustworthy amongst the chickens but I don't let most of them around the birds because its too much of a temptation especially for the girls. The boys are less predatorial and one male I have chases the foxes and coyotes off but will not kill them, I think he really is a reincarnated Buddhist!
