I was given 2 IB peachicks in early October that were 3-4 months old. They look exactly the same to me. Can anybody tell?

My guess they are both male.I have only had a few peas and the males developed more breast color than the hen's at that age in the Indian Blue mixes I had.Maybe someone else can help with more exp. with pea's.Tried to upload a pic of one of my yearling males but grrrrrrr stupid dial up!

Two little peacocks I would say. You can always tell by the feathers. If they have a rusty red color its a peacock and if its a chocholate to dark chocholate color its usually a peahen. You can also tell with the the barred feathers on the back, females tend to have less.

My friend picked up four and gave me two with the agreement that we would swap when we figured out the sexes. Her two have a more solid brown look to them....that was a few weeks ago. Now I am anxious to visit again and get to the bottom of it. I will feel a little sad splitting these two guys up though.....they are so cute together! This forum is just great! I am learning so much!!

Both males. "more solid colored" your friend has sound female because female blues get solid colored pretty fast- they lose the little bars on backs and take on a darker, mud-brownish back with much less color(and only green shine) on necks. Take pics of those too, just in case they're something unexpected like a different color or...?
