Help! I don't know what's wrong

Oh please do help I don't know what to do and I don't know much. Yesterday we got home to find our chick not chirping which is really rare because it would always chirp when we got home. Once we found it I was horrified on how it was it had its neck to the side and it's little pouch was big and hard. Was making so weird noises also as it if was having trouble breathing. It also had its beak opened and some saliva coming out really sticky and slimy. We were thinking it might of ate something bad but we dont know what, I tried to give it water and it looked like it was trying to drink it but it was having trouble. It fell asleep and this morning I found it still with it's beak open doesn't make those sounds any more. But like on the back of it's tongue it's inflamed or puffed up her tongue was very dried so I tried giving it some water again it was having trouble drinking it. It's really weak, she can't stand on her own she looks like she's drunk. All it has been doing so far this morning is sleep. I'm really beyond worried about it, is there anything I could do to help her?

Try giving her water - they drink a lot. Use a dropper or syringe (don't drown her). Is she warm enough? Too warm (she will pant if overheated)? Is she eating? Is she pooping? Check her butt to make sure she's not plugged up (you said her tummy was hard). Has anything gotten to her, like a pet who thought she was a fun toy? Do what you can, but honey sometimes they just don't make it.

What kind of feed are you giving her? Giving her any grit? Is she on pine shavings or some other kind of bedding? How old is the chick?

Tongue is dried out from open mouth breathing. Open her beak,look inside you are looking for anything stuck in her throat or around her tongue. The "pouch" you are describing is her crop,does she have access to grit,and what are you feeding her? Is her crop still full,meaning has it emptied at all over night,if not she has impacted crop,or possibly dying process has set in,which may explain the saliva. I'm inclined to think she does have something stuck in throat or around tongue,check this ASAP.
