this is my first time hatching baby ducks. I have this one egg that started popping over 48 hours ago and she had no progress. So I pulled a small piece to see of she was srinked wrapped. She was so i help her a bit more. I know alot of people dont like this method but I made a choice. Now I feel like I could of been the wrong one. I wrap her in a damp paper towel and put her back in the Incubator but I'm afraid I could of hurt her ill post a picture please let me know if there is anything I can do.

You did fine. My advice is to remove the damp paper towel, and moisten any exposed membrane with vaseline, coconut oil, antibiotic ointment, or any of those types of things, to keep the membrane from drying out. Use a q-tip or the tip of your finger, gently. If you can run the q-tip under the membrane too (between the duckling and the membrane), that also helps.

You will eventually have to continue to peel back pieces of shell, but do it slowly, progressively, as the duckling starts to try harder to get out on its own. Watch blood vessels, and don't rip through any.

Good luck!

P.S. Ducklings are slow hatchers. 48 hours is not uncommon, so it should be fine! BREATHE!! :)
