help...i found floyd my roo on top the coop sleeping tonight.

Floyd my trouble white crested polish rooster.

My husband looked and looked for him and finally we found him on top of the coop. It was dark. I have no idea how long he had been there. I'm worried about clipping wings because I feel they have a chance to get away from a predator if they can fly. I dont know what provokes him to get up there and why the heck he didn't just fly down. I thought he was gone and he is such a good roo. Any suggestions and any help about the wing clipping would be appreciated too. Their whole 2 acreas is fenced with 4 foot fence.

I wouldn't worry overmuch about him not being able to fly from a predator. Anyway good ones protect their girls from the bad guy, not fly away from it.

He sounds like a good rooster; let him be.

I would definitely not clip any wings since that would just make him easy prey.
