Help! I have a poor chicken that is being bullied!

You could get a large wire cage, put her in it with food/water & put the cage in the coop... The flock can see her but not hurt her. If there's one or two that are ok with her, add them to the cage for company but ONLY if they don't pick on her.

The reason they are bullying her is because you separated her from the flock and now they don't recognize her. This will start to promote cannibalism and the habit will increase until blood is drawn. Once a chicken has been beat up and picked on, the rest of the flock will take advantage of it. Have you ever considered separating a bully from the flock and reintroducing her? This will turn the attention to the bully, (new member) and will eventually leave the original one alone. Keep the bantam together with the others when the bully is in process of being separated. There is also a method called the "see but no touch" which is keeping a victim behind a fence or cage but the others can see her. I have never had success with it but members say it's helpful.
I second alexa009.

The real reason that she is being bullied is because this bantam hen is smaller and thus weaker than her flock mates. I don't know how long this will go on but it could be for the rest of the bantam hen's life. In effect your bantam hen is the 98 pound weakling in your chicken yard.

I guess that you could buy her a home Gem or a membership in a health club where she could work out and bulk up.

Then another thing is that if your run was big enough this small hen could avoid her tormentors.

Well Rita has managed to hatch one egg. Now what do I do? Should I remove her and the baby from the coop? and for how long? My thoughts were to remove them until the baby was old enough to go in and then start removing the bully chickens and introduce them all back into the coop together? Any thoughts?
