I got 5 khaki ducks last week with my order of chicks. I put them outside yesterday with my brothers ducks (6-7 wks) old and they started getting picked on so I locked them up in the pen I keep the older ducks and left the bigger ones out for the day. I put them away in the brooder with the chicks last night. I got them back out this morning and put them back in the pen. About an hour or so later when I checked on them - one was acting sick. I decided to separate it just in case. I put it in a box and as I was carrying it into the house it had a seizure.

It is still in the box. I put some food and water (with a little sugar) in with it. It is getting Kent poultry 27 which is what I am feeding everything I have now. It is in the 80's here and quite warm which is way I move them out, plus they make a mess of the brooder.

This is my first experience with ducks. I have had my brothers for two weeks because they were to big for him to keep in a box in his house and to young to put out on his pond. Am I doing something wrong or is there something else I should be doing? These ducks are for my daughter's 4th B-day. She doesn't know that one is sick and if they all get sick I don't know what I'm going to do.

The only time it could have been was yesterday when the bigger ducks were biting at them. I didn't let it go on, I separated the two rather quickly. I think one got a little more of a pounding then the rest but I didn't think it was serious. Maybe it was worse then I thought or it nip him just right. This is so sad. It being quite right now.

It couldn't have been the travel, I've had them for a week yesterday.
