HELP I have a very strange thing going on with my chick

I'm new here, although got tons of great ideas just from Google and you all come up.
BUT, I have a 12 week old chick who does this weird thing. I've raised chickens before but have never ever ever seen this.
She lays her head on her back, sometimes walks backwards, other times just sits there (happens a lot, like every 5 minutes). Got her from a friend who said about 2 weeks ago she had accidently startled the group and ever since she's been doing it.
Does anyone know what it might be?

It sounds like a neurological problem. Often referred to as wry neck. Wry neck can occur from a vitamin deficiency or a head injury as I suspect has happened in this case as they were startled. Treatment is the same and I would seperate your chick into a smaller quiet area.

Thank you but the thing is she is eating and drinking just fine. It's not constant. I'll look more up on this though. She isn't being harmed but the other birds as of yet. But I'll put her in a different area.
