HELP! I melted a plastic bag onto my glass cooktop

* Use a new blade in a razor scraper. (Ed: Since you've already used soft scrub-- I would MIST the glasstop with water to try to keep down scratching b/f razoring just in case any abrasives are left behind.)

U could try heating it up slightly and scraping it with a putty knife or something like that. Or keep it cool and scrape it off. Usually if the plastic gets really cold it will peel off in a hard sheet, so a possibility is using ice cubes on it to get it really cold. I dunno, that's usually what I do, and I've done that dozens of time LOL

Had some plexi glass sheeting UV baked on to the plexiglass and it would not come off... went to home depot and they tested out a whole shelf of products, the only one which seemed to melt the plastic and allow it to be rubbed off was something called "orange oil". Might give that a try?
